Coastal network completes its sensor replacement cycle
Nineteen of twenty-four sites were covered. At three stations the work moved to the next maintenance window; at two more the equipment was judged sound and left in service.
The cycle began in late May and ran in batches of four or five sites so that neighbouring stations were never out of service at once. This keeps the series continuous: when one station is in a window, the nearest ones keep reporting.
The main reason for replacement was scheduled service life rather than failures. Across the whole cycle there were two humidity sensor failures and one rain gauge drift case, which is now being checked separately.

Buoy array B-07 is back in service after its scheduled window and reports normally. Gauge R-12 stays out of the daily summary until its calibration check is finished.
The next maintenance window is provisionally set for late September. The exact schedule is published a week in advance.
